THE PRESTIGEOUS LEED CERTIFICATION

In order to acknowledge factories who have contributed to a cleaner and greener environment, the non-profit U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has started giving Leadership Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certificates. This particular certificate is given to companies based on a rating system depending on various factors such as - the construction, design, operation, and maintenance of the green factory buildings and neighborhoods. The LEED Certification is classified into 3 different categories – Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

    Mithela Textiles Industrial Limited (MTIL) is the world’s first Platinum LEED Certified Textile Factory for solid dyed fabric, rated by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). This not only makes us proud but, the whole of Bangladesh is proud of our achievement in making it big in this textile industry by weaving, finishing, printing, and dyeing woven materials. MTIL is also proud to be one of those few industries that are contributing to the overall well-being of the economy of Bangladesh.

    USB (ULUSAL SISTEM BELGELENDIRME HIZMETLEIR LTD.), one of the most growing certification body of Global Organic Textile standard (GOTS) and Textile Exchange (TE) programs has given us a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE for meeting the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Version V.5.

    Cotton has always been every human's favorite fabric not just because it’s comfortable, but also, for its "classy factor". Hence, to give this particular fabric some more spotlight and importance, we have joined hands with the BCI (Better Cotton Initiative).

    BCI has welcomed more than 210 members to be a part of their council, and we are one of them.

    MithelaGroup-OurCertificate Global Recycled Standard

    The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) was originally developed by Control Union Certifications in 2008. Mithela Textile Industries Ltd received Global Recycled Standard (GRS) 12 October, 2020.

  • RCS

    MithelaGroup-OurCertificate Recycled Claim Standard

    The RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) is used as a chain of custody standard to track recycled raw materials through the supply chain. The standard was developed through work done by the Materials Traceability Working Group, part of OIA's Sustainability Working Group.

    Mithela Textile Industries Ltd received RCS certificate 12 October, 2020.

POINTS WE HAVE OBTAINED FROM U.S. GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL (USGBC)

The reputed U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), rate factories on a total of 110 in which, we, Mithela Textiles Industries Limited have received a total of 91, which is the highest of all factories that have taken up sustainability seriously.
